Cookie notice
Last updated: 17 June 2026
This notice explains the small amounts of data Etyvest stores in your browser. We keep this to the bare minimum. We do not use any advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies, so you will not see a consent banner — there is nothing here that requires your consent under UK rules (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).
What we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| etyvest_auth | Strictly necessary (cookie) | Remembers that you have entered the development-access password, so you don't have to re-enter it on every page. The site cannot gate access without it. | 30 days |
| theme | Functional (browser local storage) | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, so your preference is kept between visits. Dark is the default if you've set nothing. | Until you clear it |
The etyvest_auth cookie exists only while the site is in private development behind a shared password. It will be removed when the site opens to the public.
Managing this storage
You can clear or block this storage at any time through your browser settings. Note that clearing the etyvest_auth cookie will sign you out, so you’ll need to enter the password again; clearing the theme setting simply returns the site to its default dark mode.
If this changes
If we later introduce non-essential cookies — for example analytics — we will update this notice and ask for your consent before setting them. For more on how we handle data generally, see our privacy policy.
